Introducing Knowledge Interviews: keep what your people know.
A new way to capture the experience, judgment, and practical know-how that never made it into a document.
The missing part of company knowledge
Ask an experienced colleague how a process works and you rarely get the same answer as the handbook. They tell you about the check before the check. The exception that happens every quarter. The person to call when the system fails. Those details matter, but they are easy to leave undocumented.
Knowledge Interviews gives your team a way to preserve that experience. An administrator chooses what to learn, invites the right people, and sends each person a private link to a focused interview.
A conversation with a purpose
Employees see why they have been invited and consent before they begin. Sirca asks one question at a time, tracks which topics have been covered, and asks for more specific examples when an answer needs detail.
Templates cover knowledge transfer, critical processes, domain expertise, project retrospectives, incident debriefs, and customer or account knowledge. You can focus an interview on a particular process or responsibility, rather than asking someone to document their entire career.
Participants type their answers or use their device’s keyboard dictation where supported. Sirca processes text and does not record or store audio. Each answer is saved when they choose Save and continue.
The employee gets the final say on their words
Before submission, the participant can read and edit every answer. They then confirm that the contribution reflects their knowledge. Administrator review is enabled by default, so a reviewer can check the content and an administrator can approve it or request clarification.
You can also choose direct publication after employee attestation. Those answers remain labelled as self-reported. An employee’s recollection does not become official company policy just because it was expressed clearly.
Useful beyond the handover
Approved answers join Sirca’s existing company knowledge. Once processed, they can inform questions from authorised colleagues and connected AI tools, with attribution and supporting evidence.
That makes the feature useful well before anyone leaves. An operations lead can capture a fragile process. A manager can preserve the advice new starters always need. An account owner can explain the history behind a customer relationship.
Start with one thing you cannot afford to lose
Pick a process that depends on one experienced person. Agree what a colleague would need to know to continue that work, invite the expert, and review the result together. Treat any uncovered gaps as the agenda for a follow-up walkthrough.
Knowledge Interviews is available in the Sirca workspace. The public product page explains the employee experience, review choices, access settings, and withdrawal process.
